The person making the reservation must be at least 18 years old. These terms become binding on both parties when the customer has paid the booking fee for the holiday cottage booked or has paid the booking fee and the final payment. The booking fee and final payment must be paid by the due dates specified on the invoice. A booking fee of 30% of the total price is paid at the time of booking. The final payment of 70% is due 30 days before the arrival date. The entire invoice becomes due for immediate payment when there are 30 days or less until the start date of the reservation.

Number of People and Pets

The holiday accommodation may be used by a maximum number of people specified in the description, as the number of beds or as agreed upon when booking the holiday accommodation. Bringing pets to the holiday accommodation must be arranged when making the reservation. A separate pet fee will be charged for pets.

Damage Compensation and Lost Property

The customer must compensate for any damage caused intentionally or unintentionally to the holiday accommodation or its furnishings. The customer is responsible for lost keys to the holiday accommodation. The customer is responsible for the cost of installing new locks and making new keys.

Items left behind in the holiday accommodation are kept for 14 days. Forgotten items will be mailed to the customer upon request. In this case, the customer pays the postage for the mailed items as well as an additional €10 handling fee.

Cancellations

If a customer needs to cancel their reservation, they must immediately inform Muhonen's holiday cottages either by email or by phone. Failure to pay the booking or final payment does not constitute cancellation of the reservation, nor does it exempt the booker from these cancellation terms. If invoices are not paid by the due date, Muhonen's holiday cottages reserve the right to cancel the reservation. If a customer cancels the reservation, the paid booking fee will not be refunded. If the reservation is cancelled later than 30 days before the start of the holiday, the full amount (both the booking and final payment) will be charged. In case of illness, if the customer provides a medical certificate, the full amount paid will be refunded. We always recommend taking out travel insurance.

If a customer interrupts their visit and leaves the holiday accommodation before the end of the rental period, no compensation will be paid for the unused time, and the customer is not entitled to a refund of the rent.

Muhonen's holiday cottages reserve the right to cancel a reservation.

If there is a force majeure event, we may terminate the contract. We are obliged to notify the customer of this without delay. The customer is then entitled to a full refund of the rent paid. The customer may also be offered the option to reschedule the booking for a later date.

Possible Complaints

All remarks and complaints regarding the equipment and condition of the accommodation must be addressed immediately to the owner as soon as they arise. Complaints made afterwards will not be considered.

Muhonen's holiday cottages are not responsible for any damage incurred by the customer due to unforeseeable force majeure events (such as power outages, natural phenomena, animals such as mice or insects) that are not caused by Muhonen's holiday cottages and the consequences of which could not reasonably have been prevented. Muhonen's holiday cottages also do not accept liability for damages or consequences resulting from normal natural phenomena
